Alarm over targets for south-east homes

Alarm over targets for south-east homes - 1999 - Guardian 8 October 1999, 14(1) .

Advisors are urging the Government to plan for over a million new homes in the south-east by 2016, seeming to reject arguments of council planners that there should be no more more than 914,000 built. The Council for the Protection of Rural England argues that at present rates 30% of the south-east will be 'urbanised' by 2050.
