A new report by the Joseph Rowntree Foundation, "Low demand: separating fact from fiction" takes as its theme the question of low demand for social housing, and asks whether this means government projections for an increase in the number of households are correct. Concludes that although some areas of the north are experiencing low demand, this is primarily due to migration south, where there is a correspondingly high demand for housing.
