CA 27 April 1999. L occupied a premises owned by F, at a rent that was subject to review in the seventh year of the term. An arbitrator was appointed and he issued that hearsay evidence should be excluded from the proceedings. Following the making of an award, in which he had regard to a comparable relied on by F, L issued proceedings requesting the arbitrator to give reasons under the Arbitration Act 1979 S1(5). L contended that the arbitrator had treated as admissible evidence of facts relating to the comparables that were hearsay. The application was dismissed. L appealed. Appeal dismissed.
