LT 5 May 1999. The Lands Tribunal determined that they had no jurisdiction to deal with an issue of disputed compensation under the Land Compensation Act 1973 pt 1 arising out of a highway scheme carried out by a developer as agent for the county council. The reasons given were that the effect of cashing a cheque tendered by B amounted to an acceptance of the offer and that a reference of the claim to the LT was statute barred.
