Any room for any more?

Any room for any more? - 1999 - Financial Times 19 June 1999, 3:1(2) .

Discusses housing provision for the south east. SERPLAN (South East Regional Planning Authority) does not accept household projections, arguing against the predicted 75% increase in single person households. Housebuilders support the traditional 'predict and provide' approach. Problems in the region include the fact that 80% of non-urban land has some environmental protection, 'pressure points' in the areas where the jobs are, rising house prices, and the need for social housing.
