The RICS and the Insolvency Practitioners Association (IPA) have launched a voluntary regulation scheme for fixed charge receivers. The scheme will be regulated by a contract between the individual and the RICS which will issue annual certificates. There will be an additional CPD obligation, and from January 2001 applicants will need to pass an approved examination.
