R v Oxfordshire CC, ex parte Sunningwell Parish Council HL 24 June 1999. The Glebe at Sunningwell in Oxfordshire was a 10-acre open space used by the local people for outdoor pursuits. The Parish Council won the right to register it as a village green under the Commons Registration Act 1965 s13 so that the proposed development could be prevented by Commons Act 1876 s29.
