A new formwork system called ECO-Block is soon to be available in the UK. The system has been used in the US for two years, and consists of a series of pre-fabricated, expanded polystyrene blocks into which concrete is poured. The system is said to reduce construction times by a third, but as yet has no Agrement Certificate.
