Research to be published at the launch of the RICS Research Foundation sets out three scenarios for the impact of government policy on housing up to 2020 set against general market sentiment of 'managed uncertainty'. These are: a macro-economic climate of low inflation increasing risks of borrowing; low-income growth slowing house prices; changing job patterns increasing uncertainty over commitment to mortgages in part offset by the invention of more flexible loans.
