"Portman BS v Bevan Ashford and others". CA 20 December 1999. Bevan Ashford negligently failed to reveal to client lender information casting doubt upon the reliability of the borrower. Discusses whether Portman (the lender) is entitled to recover the whole of the loss including internal costs or nominal damages and the measure of these damages. The lender was awarded the whole of their loss, excluding internal costs. BA's appeal was dismissed. Cross-appeal allowed.
