"Webb v Sandown Sports Club Ltd and another", ChD 25 January 2000. The landlord (S) opposed an application for a new tenancy on the grounds that they intended to occupy the site for business purposes. The tenant vacated the premises and claimed compensation under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 s37. The point at issue was whether the tenant had 'quit' within the meaning of s37. "Held" Tenant's claim succeeded.
