CA 25 February 2000. "Skerritts of Nottingham Ltd v SOS Environment, and another". The council issued a listed building enforcement notice against the respondent S in respect of a stable block lying within the curtilage of the Grade II listed Grimsdyke Hotel. SOS took inspector's advice and dismissed respondent's appeal against notice. Deputy judge found inspector had overlooked principle that curtilage of listed building limited to a small area around building. Respondent's appeal allowed. SOS appealed. Held, appeal allowed.
