According to analysis by DTZ Debenham Tie Leung the percentage of planning appeals being allowed is increasing. This is probably due to the strict tests imposed by PPG6 which appears to be discouraging speculative appeals, and inspectors seem to be sensibly interpreting planning guidance. Also discusses how the regenerative effects of a proposed project can outweigh planning policy.
