Access rights enforced - 2000 - Building Design (1438) 28 April 2000, 1(1) .

The newly-established Disability Rights Commission will have the ability to investigate any complaints made about access to buildings, and designers are being urged to make sure their designs cater for disabled people so as not to be caught out when the final phase of the Disability Discrimination Act comes into force in 2004, because the legislation is retrospective.
