Downward trend in price of farmland - 2000 - Farmers' Weekly 12 May 2000, 10(1) .

The latest RICS Farmland Price Survey reports an increase in the average price of farmland in 1Q 2000. However, it suggests this high average disguises much lower values being achieved for poorer quality holdings. Strutt & Parker research challenges the RICS findings, reporting a slight dip in the average price of arable land in 1Q.
