Government response to the report of the Independent Expert Group on Mobile Phones and Health, commissioned in April 1999. Base station planning issues and emissions are discussed. Although the report states the balance of evidence does not suggest mobile phones are a health risk, the government intends to expand the research programme into the effects of mobile phone use.
