Timetable needed for change in subsidy payments

The HC environment select committee has published a report with suggestions for the forthcoming rural white paper. It says government should set out a timetable for increasing the percentage cut in subsidy payments and should use cross compliance mechanisms to ensure high environmental standards. Efforts should be made to switch subsidies towards agri-environment schemes.
