Rees, W.H.
Arbitration: settling disputes informally - 2000 - The Valuer 69(3) May/June 2000, 26(1) .
The Lands Tribunal Rules 1996 introduced a simplified procedure which enables cases to be decided without a full-scale hearing. It applies to all disputes within the Tribunal's jurisdiction except compulsory purchase matters. The procedure is intended to be attractive to small cases but one recent decision is cited "Sharp v Griffiths (VO) (1999) RA 265 which showed that use of this simplified procedure is not limited to minor disputes of fact.
