The starting point of this study is that the implementation of quality management and Just-in-time (JIT) systems in construction companies is unco-ordinated on the whole. Through a survey of companies attempts; to establish the similarities between ISO 9000 requirements and JIT concepts; to identify areas where ISO 9000 cncepts can be used by JIT; and to assess how much the industry is aware of ISO 9000 and JIT.
