Commentary on two Lands Tribunal decisions "Scottish and Newcastle Retail Ltd v Williams (VO)" and "Allied Domecq Retailing Ltd v Williams (VO)", in which two public houses were valued for rating disregarding their potential for shop and restaurant use because the works necessary for those uses were more than minor and because the ultimate use was not in the same category as public house use.
