Looks at the growing use of the mixed use scheme in developments on the eastern City fringe. Recent research by DTZ Debenham Tie Leung suggests that high-tech companies are creating a shift in demand and requirements in central London. The report notes that take-up and requirements from Internet firms totalled 75,000sqm in the first quarter of 2000, a figure which is over three times the total take-up by the sector in 1999.
