Outlines guidance which imposes new regulations on those responsible in social housing for home safety. New requirements in Approved Document B in support of the Building Regulations 1991 means one or two storey houses with loft conversions, must be fitted with the minimum of one mains-powered , interlinked alarm on every floor.
