The Grosvenor estate has introduced a new type of lease which fills a gap in the leasehold system and ensures that occupiers in due course will manage their own buildings. It is hoped that this will raise values in the Mayfair part of the Grosvenor estate and encourage occupiers to spend money on the common parts of their buildings.
