LT 19 March 1998. The appellants were in charge of an estate management scheme approved under the Leasehold Reform Act 1967 s19 in 1974. In 1995 the appellants applied to the LVT to vary the scheme to include flats and houses made franchiseable under the Leasehold Reform, Housing and Urban Development Act 1993. LVT refused an extension on the grounds that it had no jurisdiction to act so. The appellants appealed with reference to the Leasehold Reform Act 1967 s19 (9). 'Held' appeal allowed.
