A government review of the Leasehold Valuation Tribunals' has recommended new performance targets. These include that by the end of 2001 90% of LVT cases will be heard within 20 weeks of being applied for and that full decisions will be issued within 6 weeks of the hearing. Extra powers to award costs against unreasonable parties have also been announced.
