Power plants not to be built

Power plants not to be built - 2000 - Financial Times 21 September 2000, 7(1) .

A third of planned combined heat and power plants will not be built, according to a survey by the Combined Heat and Power Association. Factors blamed for the loss in confidence are the impact of the climate change levy, falling electricity prices, and higher gas charges. The report states power plants need to be exempt from the climate change levy, or future investment in power plants looks unlikely.
