Carl and another v Grosvenor Estate Belgravia

Carl and another v Grosvenor Estate Belgravia - 2000 - Estates Gazette [2000] 38 EG 195-201(7) .

LT 22 June 2000. Appellant lessees, C, claimed a right to buy the freehold of a property in Chester Square, London, under the Leasehold Reform Act 1967, together with the garage to the rear. LVT determined the purchase price at £767,200. C appealed. C's valuer questioned LVT's reasoning and suggested not soundly based. Appeal allowed and a purchase price of £680,000 determined. Found that evidence of C's valuer was unnecessary and unhelpful.
