According to a report by Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels, the London hotel investment market has come to a halt in 2000. In the months leading up to September there were only £65m of hotel sales, compared with £489m of transactions during the same period in 1999. The survey notes that there has been little available to buy, but trading is now stronger than in 1998 and early 1999. Table.
