The homebuying website Easier is to sell its operating business, whilst Asserta Home has bought its rival Smove, as the highly competitive online property sector begins to consolidate. Easier, which sold properties on the Internet for free whilst attempting to make money by selling information about users to financial services companies, is to sell its operating business and turn itself into a cash shell after the financial institutions found that the information they received did not lead to many transactions.
