RICS urges review of Council Tax bands

In its response to the local government finance green paper, which deals with council tax and business rates, the RICS has urged government to review council tax value bands. It suggests that anomalies are appearing in the system as property values change at different speeds in different locations. Also includes details of the Institution's response to the proposed supplementary business rate, local tax reinvestment programmes, business rates and transitional relief.
