In an attempt to tackle the issue of properly valuing the construction industry's workforce the construction minister and Movement for Innovation chairman have urged firms to volunteer to trial the new 'people issues' toolkits, which have been published alongside the M4I Respect for People working group report "A commitment to people: our biggest asset". The toolkits take the form of checklists and scoring systems for use as a benchmarking tool addressing six 'action themes'.
