In three decisions in the CA, "Middleton Potts & Co v Scottish Amicable Life Assurance Society", "National Westminster Bank v Co-Operative Wholesale Society" and ""Greenham Trading v Prudential Nominess", judges ruled that rent-free periods should be taken into account when setting a rent at review. However in a fouth case "Lehman Brothers v Broadgate Square" it was held that a rent-free period should not be taken into account.
