The European Commission has lifted the ban it imposed, on 14 August 2000, on the exports of live pigs (and pig semen, ova and embryos) from Suffolk and Norfolk to other EU Member States. The ban on exports from Essex was lifted in October 2000. Describes MAFF's reaction to the lifting of the ban.
