Law Society attacks government plan to impose fines of up to £5,000 on sellers and estate agents who refuse to use the new seller's packs, designed to speed up the house-buying process. The Law Society believes that criminal law should not be used to enforce the scheme, and that the inclusion of a survey in the pack should be optional.
