Describes the setting-up of the National Register of Access Consultants which provides the names of accredited auditors with the aim to simplify compliance with the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA). The register was set-up after the recognition of a lack of knowledge on access issues. The DDA requires property owners who provide goods, services and employment to carry out an access audit and to make any necessary changes in order to comply with the act.
