Outlines the major sources of funding for heritage-led regeneration schemes, other than CADW, English Heritage and Historic Scotland. Sources of funding discussed include the Regional Development Agencies, the Landfill Tax Credit Scheme, English Heritage's Heritage Economic Regeneration Scheme (HERS), charitable trusts, Section 106 agreements and the Single Regeneration Budget. The European Regional Development (ERDF), which is available in areas covered by either Objective 1 or 2 status, is considered as is the Heritage Lottery Fund's Townscape Heritage Initiative (THI) and sources of funding specific to Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Examples of schemes and types of project funded are given in each case.
