The Financial Services Authority (FSA) welcomes European Commission recommendations for the review of capital adequacy. Revisions to the Basel Accord and EU capital regimes should be implemented by the end of 2004 and will affect all UK banks, building societies, securities firms, fund managers and some IFAs.
