The Chancellor, Gordon Brown, launched a new initiative that aims to encourage businesses to be developed and started up in inner city areas. The scheme, Inner City 100, is based on successful US experience and aims to change businesses' perception of inner city areas by highlighting the 100 best performing businesses in such areas.
