Constructive acceleration is a term used to describe a United States legal doctrine which reimburses contractors for the costs of acceleration to overcome excusable delay in the absence of an agreement for acceleration. Investigates how constructive acceleration might be treated in English law. Considers the current law; recovering the costs of constructive acceleration and quantum meruit.
