State of the industry report
State of the industry report
- 2001
- Construction Monitor February 2001, 6-8(3) .
The annual DETR report on the state of the construction industry has shown that construction workloads for the twelve months to September 2000 were 2.5% higher than those for the previous year. The year also saw growth in the housing, commercial and infrastructure sectors. Concerns are expressed, however, from consultants about future workloads, about contractors ability to meet those workloads, and the difficulties of recruitment against the backdrop on an aging workforce. The full report, which includes workforce demographics, is available on the DETR construction website at http://www.construction.detr.gov.uk and the Construction Industry Board website at http://www.ciboard.org.uk.
