Oxley, R.

Valuing historic buildings - 2001 - CSM (Chartered Surveyor Monthly) February 2001, 25(1) .

Latest edition of the "European Valuation Standards 2000" (EVS) by TEGoVA includes specific guidance to the valuation of historic buildings. The new guidance supports concerns set out in the Red Book on the potential for damage to be caused by the valuation process to historic buildings. New guidance advises valuers to be confident that recommendations for repair work included within a valuation are not harmful to the integral structure of the building.
