New U-values announced

The DETR has published proposed performance standards for improving energy efficiency in buildings. Improved U-values are to form the centrepiece of the revised Part L of the Building Regulations. Consultation on the new draft is almost complete. It is likely to be published in full shortly after the consultation period for the revisions to Part E ends on 20 April 2001.
