The United States has rejected proposals for architects from the EU and US to work freely in each others' markets. In recent discussions the Amercian Institute of Architects argued that variations in education, work experience and licensing would make a reciprocity agreeement across Europe impossible, and called for an exclusive agreement between the US and UK.
