Research by Colliers CRE suggests that internet shopping will adversely affect out-of-town shopping centres which specialise in items like books, CDs, toys and domestic appliances. Such products are popular with online buyers, and take up 24% of out-of-town non-food floorspace in comparison with just 11% of high street non-food floorspace.
