Considers the relationship between landlords and tenants in the context of Pt III of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 (DDA). Looks in particular at the issue which arises where a service provider is a tenant, of whether the landlord can require the tenant to make adjustments to the building, to ensure it is accessible. For every commercial lease contains a covenant requiring the tenant to comply with legislation that affects the leased premises. Notes that the answer is still not clear-cut, and sets out some of the issues that will need to be considered by the courts.
