A new survey by Strutt & Parker has shown that three-quarters of their farming clients have diversified into horses in the last fifteen years. 23% of those who have set up stables or other equine enterprises had done so in the last two years. The research, also suggests that such enterprises can be a useful source of income with annual rents for land let for horses reaching of £200-£500 per acre.
