Describes the results of a research project that sought to estimate the amount of 'stigma' that arises from a site's contamination history, and to measure the effects of this on the value of residential properties. Findings are based on the results of a study of post-remediated residential land in Perth, Western Australia from 1992-1998. Results give reason for optimism.
