With the growth of e-tailing, looks at the potential for retail landlords of "wired leases". This innovative concept involves the redrafting of traditional shopping centre turnover leases to allow the landlord to capture online sales made through the shopping centre's own portal. This would benefit shoppers in a number of ways. For instance, rather than accessing a succession of sites, they need only look at one, central shopping centre site, and make one payment at the end of their visit.
