Government has announced a £15m package of further short term practical help for rural businesses in the areas worst affected by foot and mouth disease. This is in addition to the £8m pledged by the Regional Development Agencies, the first package of short term aid for businesses and the £120m extension of the Small Firms Loan Guarantee Scheme.
