Rural survey makes grim reading

Rural survey makes grim reading - 2001 - RICS Press Release (pr060) 25 April 2001 (2) .

An RICS rural survey sent to 250 rural surveyors across the country and compiled from replies from 168 respondents reveals that many expect to see between 20% and 40% of farming business cease trading before the end of 2001. Almost three quarters of surveyors areas infected by foot and mouth are reporting a fall in enquiries for property and instructions for property related sales. For further information on the survey contact William Tew on 020 7334 3860 or the RICS Press Office on 020 7334 3775.
